Chanting is a common way to connect with your inner self. In the yoga tradition mantras are used as a means to concentrate, to cultivate presence and to remind yourself of the core essence of the practice and its purpose. In this course, learn some of the history and theory behind the chanting of mantra, and learn several different traditional chants; and how to put them together for your own personal self-guided practice of mantra for meditation.
Learn about pranayama and begin a home practice with Yogayama's Director of Teacher Training, Sara Granström. In this course, you'll be introduced to the fundamental principles of pranayama, followed by a breakdown of the anatomical aspects of the gross and subtle energetic bodies as is pertinent to pranayama practice. Then you'll learn six preparatory techniques and four pranayama practices step by step before being taught how to develop and maintain your won personal home pranayama practice.
